Dear Researchers, Professors and Students from UL,

It is with great pleasure that we announce the 1st workshop Networking Sciences (Ciências em Rede) to be held in the Reitoria da Universidade de Lisboa, 22-24 November 2010.

This workshop is part of the Ciência na UL project (http://www.ul.pt/ciencianaul), designed to promote the R&D activities of the researchers contracted under the program Ciência 2007/2008 by the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) and aims to create new networking activities among researchers from all five strategic areas of the research at the University of Lisbon (UL): Arts and Humanities, Health Sciences, Science and Technology, Legal and Economic Sciences, Social Sciences. In addition, the workshop will ease the possibility for the university community to know what´s new on the Research and Development (R&D) at UL.

We invite all Researchers, Professors and Students  to visit the workshop website http://conferencias.ul.pt/index.php/cer/netcul/index for detailed information.

The workshop is free of charge but registration is compulsory. Registration includes support material, Certificate of Attendance, participation in the workshop rooms and open access sessions, and coffee-breaks. Researchers are also invited to submit an abstract on their R&D topic. The registration and abstract submission are now opened, and should be done online. The language of the conference will be English.

For any other question do not hesitate in contacting us at ciencia.na.ul@reitoria.ul.pt.
We look forward to seeing you at the workshop.

Sincerely,
Maria R. Gomes and Pedro G. Lind
